Boo Boo

We had to take Sadie for her 9 month appointment. We were so happy because we did not have any shots this time; however, the doctor threw a curveball our way. We had to take Sadie for a hemoglobin test. Oh yeah. Let's draw blood from the little one. The doctor would not do it in the office, so we had to take Sadie to the lab. They pricked her little finger and then had to squeeze (for a LONG time) to get a little vial of blood. One drop at a time. She screamed, cried, kicked the technician, and then had to get a band-aid that I would not let her take off, which caused her to cry some more. The pictures show her after I fed her breakfast. Not happy.

The good news is that she is perfectly healthy. She weighs 19 pounds and is 29 inches long.

Later that same day . . . Sadie got to sit on Mommy's motorcycle. She is not scared by the noise at all. She may be riding a bike before we know it.

Reading a Book

Sadie really pays attention when Ma'Maw or Pa'Paw read her a book. Here, she is looking for Pooh Bear on each page.
