7-8 months

It is definitely time for an update.

We have been in the middle of moving to our new house. The last house did not have a big enough backyard for Sadie. She now has a bedroom upstairs with her own playroom. Thank goodness for baby gates that keep her away from the stairs.

Sadie has been into EVERYTHING lately. She is pulling up on furniture like a pro, but has decided to forgo walking for a while because she has perfected her hands and knees crawling. She can go from crawling to sitting with ease, but sometimes prefers to lean against furniture, while standing, so that she can use both hand to play with her toys.

She is also learning to feed herself. So far, she enjoys Mum Mums (a rice and sugar treat that practically dissolves in her mouth) and cantaloupe. The cantaloupe is a little tricky for her since she has to chase it down. It slides all over her tray. I am also sure that Ma'Maw and Pa'Paw have been sneaking her some food at their house.

Within the past week, Sadie has learned to clap her hands, wave hello and good-bye, and sign that she is "all done" with her food. If I get pictures, you'll see them in about a month. :)

In February, Sadie met her friend Deanna at a dog parade. They had fun watching all the dogs in walk down the street with their owners. They even got beads thrown to them from the passing floats.

Sadie also enjoys banging on Ma'Maw and Pa'Paw's piano. When she is finished, she will turn, look at you, and clap her hands.

Sadie is scared of hats. Obviously, not on herself though. She does not like it when anyone she knows puts on a hat or sunglasses. We do not know where this fear came from, so we are working on getting her used to those items.

Sadie loves playing in the tub. Bathtime is great for her. She plays with her toys (mostly chewing on them), and she is getting accustomed to sitting by herself and then crawling around in the water.

Can you see her two teeth? They both came in on the bottom and the same time.
